Concord High Girls Wrestling Makes Herstory!

March is Women's History Month!

During Women’s History Month, I had the honor of recognizing the Concord High School Girls Wrestling Team for an extraordinary and historic season.

These student-athletes made California history as the Inaugural NCS Girls Dual Team Champions — the first championship of its kind in the state. Their remarkable season also included becoming Inaugural NCS Divisional Champions, finishing as undefeated league champions, and earning Second Place as a team at the NCS Masters Tournament.

Their achievements demonstrate outstanding skill, determination, and teamwork, bringing great pride to Concord High School and our entire community. Just as importantly, they are helping pave the way for future generations of girls in sports — showing what is possible through perseverance, leadership, and belief in one another.

Women’s History Month is about honoring those who break barriers and create new opportunities. This team has done exactly that.

Congratulations to these incredible student-athletes, their coaches, and the entire Concord High School community. Concord is proud of you.
