Appointment MCE Clean Energy Board

On February 16th, 2024 I was sworn in as a director of MCE Clean Energy. The City Council of Concord selects one member each year to serve on the board of this not-for-profit public agency which supports the Concord Community Choice Energy program. I place a high priority on developing alternative and sustainable sources of the power we need, so I am grateful to be able to serve the residents of Concord in this capacity.

MCE Clean Energy provides electricity service and cutting-edge energy programs to more than 1.5 million residents and businesses in 37 member communities across four Bay Area counties: Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, and Solano.

In addition to supporting alternative and sustainable sources of energy, I also support empowering residents to make sustainable choices, and “Community Choice Energy” does exactly this. So when I was selected last December to represent the City of Concord on the Board of MCE Clean Energy, it was an appointment that I take very seriously.

MCE Clean Energy has been an energy choice for Concord residents since 2018. There is a detailed FAQ here if you have questions about choosing an alternative source of energy.
